    Violinist, composer, and activist Scarlet Rivera joins us for a special live episode where we'll discuss her career and learn more about her connection to the violin and electric violin.  

    Well known for her touring career with Bob Dylan in 1975, Rivera has performed as a soloist with the Duke Ellington Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Carnival of Venice, Italy.  She has performed with many renowned artists, including: Emmylou Harris, Rufus Wainwright, Glen Hansard, Tracy Chapman, and most recently with Brandi Carlile at Disney Hall in 2019.

    Scarlet continues to be an active recording artist, performer, composer, and activist. In the fall of 2019, she was on tour in Italy, Austria and Switzerland with American folk music singer-songwriter Eric Anderson. She uses her musical talent towards helping protect wildlife, the environment, and animal rights.

    Scarlet performs her original music regularly for the concert series A Call 2 Peace. The proceeds from every concert are donated to different charity organizations. Additionally, she is the Director of the World Peace Violin Project under The McCollum Foundation. Their mission is to bring about social justice, planetary sustainability, and world peace.
